7/17 the first day was spent in the air traversing 1/3 of the cirumference of the Earth, except for a brief repose in JFK - just long enough for Joe to leave behind our Rick Streve's Guide to Italy - including all the underlines and highlights that Lyn had painstakingly marked (hurry to gate B-20 and you may find it still!). We can only hope that some other travelers to this cradle of Western Civilization may benefit from Steve and Lyn's work....
7/18 The First Day. After arriving at Airport and going through customs - which simply involved flashing our passports to a disinterested customs official, we were IN. A jaunt to the train station
